About
Not too long ago, in a neighborhood not too far, far away lived a Southern California native kid and second youngest of ten children. Yes, ten (his poor Mother) Ironically at the age of 10 he was just like any other kid in the neighborhood until one day he witness a little known Sci-Fi movie in Mission Valley called STAR WARS "which will be a day long remembered" from that moment on he begged his poor Father to see it 10 more times, because he was his only hope and began drawing X Wings, Tie Fighters, battle scenes and characters on any piece of paper he could get his hands on while escaping the adversities of the real world by creating his own. Daniel continued drawing throughout his preteens, high school and into his early twenties and stopped for the next 20 years until the passing of his father in 2006.
Sept 2006: With only two days before the services, he began drawing again and completed a portrait of his father to give his grieving Mother (she loved it) From that point forward his drawings vastly improved with the help of better tools, materials and after hundreds of hours of non-stop practice, patience and failures for the next four years re-kindling his love for Art including pastels and cartooning along the way.
March 2010: Daniel purchased his first canvas, brushes, and acrylic paints. Therefore beginning his painting journey by experimenting with the fine detail of Pointillism in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form a larger image created by Georges Seurat in 1886. Within a year of developing this skill, Daniel began noticing the results of his hard work — his painting style was evolving rapidly in his mission to apply the diligent style of the Old Master in today’s Pop Culture and Movie Icons.
August 2019: Illustration is a type of “Line Art” that he's always secretly admired...until now. Daniel created a few pieces just for fun....ended up with an entire series of work (all done by hand, nothing digital) by using simple lines, shapes and straight edges while taking a break from the intricate detail style of his other work. Who knows what next? : )
Present day: My work is recognized and appreciated at every Live art exhibitions, Galleries, Group Art shows, many Comic Conventions and Charity Events. I take my art very seriously, but at the same time I'm a kid at heart because the child in me survived. It’s hard to say goodbye when original work is sold…but it also motivates me to create more because it’s never too late to do what you love.
