This iteration of Jack is a unhinged mobster enforcer who serves as the right-hand man of Gotham's crime boss until he's betrayed and falls into a vat of toxic chemicals leaving him scarred with chalk-white skin, green hair and with a permanent madman rictus grin - now calling himself "Joker" - assassinates his boss and takes over the criminal underworld with a new nemesis in his way...the Batman.
