This 2008 version of the Joker presents himself as "an agent of chaos" and seeks to dismantle Gotham's law enforcement, the mob and it's citizens by breaking their moral codes with nefarious schemes by pushing the city to it's breaking point, by proving that even it's most principle Knight can fall.
