Robert Craig Knievel (Evel Knievel) was an American daredevil famous for his car jumping motorcyle stunts, including the infamous Caesar's Palace Fountains jump that almost took his life. His career marked by successful landings to spectacular crashes and over 400 broken bones, he achieved widespread fame and was immortalized in pop culture for his death-defying performances, showmanship while wearing his famous stars-and-stripes jumpsuit and becoming a global celebrity, also known as The Last Gladiator.
